What does Halal mean?
The term Halal, in the Islamic religion, refers to everything that is permitted in terms of behaviour, language, clothing and diet.
The Arabic word Halal means “permitted” or “lawful” and contrasts with Haram, which means “prohibited”.
The term therefore indicates what is authorized by Islamic law.
In the food sector, it translates into the list of permitted foods (and related production processes).
